Harper loves that dance gives her a way to express herself and tell a story without saying a word. She loves the challenge of learning new skills, pushing herself beyond what she thought she could do, and seeing her hard work pay off. More than anything, dance is where she feels happiest and most herself.
Harper is inspired by her dance teachers, old and new. She looks up to the older dancers and those who she has met through Collegiate dance programs. She sees how much dedication, discipline, and heart it takes to become a strong dancer, and it motivates her to keep working. She especially admires people who are not only talented, but kind, encouraging, and willing to lift up the people around them.
Watching Harper continue to choose growth, even when it’s hard, makes me incredibly proud. From stepping on stage for her first solo to taking on new challenges, she continues to push herself outside her comfort zone and grow in confidence. Dance has taught her that success isn’t just about awards—it’s about showing up, working hard, taking corrections, and becoming better than she was yesterday. Through it all, she remains hardworking, humble, and supportive of others.
