What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Haze loves football because it challenges him to be stronger, work harder, and become a better athlete and person. He loves the brotherhood, competition, and being part of a team working toward one goal. For Haze, football is about more than winning—it's about leadership, discipline, pushing through adversity, and lifting up the teammates beside him. The field is where he feels at home, and his love for the game shows every time he plays.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Haze’s biggest inspiration is his dad, who played football in Hawaii and taught him to love and respect the game. He also looks up to Jeremiyah Love and Cam Skattebo for their toughness, work ethic and style of play. ASU Head Coach Kenny Dillingham inspires Haze through his passion, leadership and ability to build a culture where players believe in themselves, their teammates and their program.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I’m proudest of the character Haze shows every time he steps on the field. He can run an opponent over, then turn around and be the first to offer a hand and help him back up. His sportsmanship and leadership speak louder than any stat. One of my favorite moments is watching him proudly carry the American flag onto the field before each game, representing his team with pride, respect and heart.
