Learn MoreHazel loves the excitement of learning new skills, performing with her team and challenging herself to do things she once thought were impossible. Whether she’s cheering, tumbling or dancing, she loves the feeling of finally mastering a skill after working hard for it. She thrives on the energy, friendships and confidence her sports give her.
Hazel is inspired by her coaches, teammates and family who encourage her to keep pushing herself. She looks up to athletes who work hard, stay confident and never give up when something is difficult. Their example reminds her that success isn’t about being perfect it’s about believing in yourself, practicing and having the courage to keep trying.
What makes me proudest isn’t just one trophy or performance it’s watching Hazel refuse to give up when a skill is hard. She will fall, get frustrated, get back up and try again until she gets it. Seeing her confidence grow through cheer, tumbling and dance has shown me how determined and resilient she truly is. At only 8, she already understands that hard work pays off.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
