What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

In soccer he loves training, playing the game and enjoys being part of a team sport. He shows up, works hard, supports his team mates by assisting and scoring goals, bolstering team morale and loves the win. In track he enjoys trying to exceed his personal best and represent his school well. In bicycling he loves the thrill of speed, endurance, distance and reaching or exceeding personal goals. He loves the outdoors, having fun, being healthy and wants to demonstrate leadership by example.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the field be it soccer or track he wants to ensure his coaches are proud of him. They know he has worked hard, performed his best  and left it all out there. He wants this knowing what they have done for him and the team. Their investment in time and commitment is valued. Off the field he is most proud of his parents commitment to him and his sports. Their ongoing encouragement and support has been unwavering. They always support and come watch him play and compete.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Winning BC Provincials with his soccer team this year 2026. All his hard work, dedication and commitment to his team, coaches and all of whom support him paid off. When he won he came off the field to his parents and grandparents to thank them personally for all their support and coming out to watch him compete. A humbling and very special experience. Well done Henry!
