What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing sports and AAA hockey is being part of something bigger than myself. I love stepping on the ice with my teammates, working hard together, and knowing that everyone is counting on each other. Hockey challenges me to keep pushing myself, even when things are difficult. I love the feeling of getting better, learning from my mistakes, and seeing all my hard work pay off. But most of all, I love the friendships, the memories, and the people hockey has brought into my 🌎

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The person who inspires Hudson the most, both on and off the ice, is definitely his dad. Hudson looks up to him in so many ways. His dad has taught him that being a good person is just as important as being a great athlete—to work hard, stay humble, treat people with kindness, and never give up when things get difficult. On the ice, Hudson sees his dad as someone who always believes in him and pushes him to be the best player and teammate he can be. Off the ice, his dad teaches him about respect

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments in Hudson’s athletic journey that has made me the proudest wasn’t necessarily a goal, a win, or an award. It was watching the kind of teammate and person he was becoming. I’ll never forget seeing Hudson welcome new players, shake their hands, introduce himself, and make them feel like they belonged before they had even stepped onto the ice. He genuinely cares about the people around him and celebrates his teammates just as much as he celebrates his own accomplishments.
