What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I’ve always loved baseball because it teaches me to stay in the moment. Whether I’m in the field waiting for the ball or at the plate waiting for the right pitch, I’ve learned to focus on what’s happening right now. I don’t think about the last play or worry about the next one—I trust my preparation, let the ball come to me, and give my best effort every time. Baseball has taught me patience, confidence, and how to stay calm under pressure. Those lessons have made me a better athlete and person.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The people who inspire me are my coach Teddy, my mom, my dad, and everyone who has helped me in baseball. They always encourage me to work hard, keep learning, and never give up. They believe in me, even when things are hard, and they remind me to always be a good teammate and do my best. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their support, and I’m really thankful for everything they’ve done for me.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments I am most proud of in Hudson’s athletic journey was when he stepped onto the field to compete against players who were three years older than him. He was nervous and unsure of what to expect, but instead of letting that fear hold him back, he trusted in the preparation, coaching, and hard work that had brought him there. Although the outcome was not perfect—he struck out—what stood out most was his attitude.
