His biggest inspiration is his family. We remind him that hard work, dedication, and having a good heart matter just as much as winning. On the field, he is inspired by the players he looks up to, but most of all, by the love he has for the game.
I’m most proud when I see him face a difficult moment and he chooses not to give up. Whether it’s striking out, making a mistake, or having a tough game, he gets back up, keeps working, and comes back with a smile. Those moments remind me that baseball is teaching him something even more important than how to play the game—it’s teaching him resilience, confidence, humility, and how to keep believing in himself.
