Their dream is to play on the LPGA Tour because they truly love golf. Isabel and Emma are competitive golfers who learn from their mistakes while still having fun. They enjoy traveling to compete nationally, making new friends, and playing different courses. Golf has taken our family to places we never imagined. The sport is challenging, but those challenges have helped them grow.
Many people inspire them, including Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam, Lydia Ko, Scottie Scheffler, Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant, Nick Saban, and many other athletes. Through their speeches and advice, Emma and Isabel have strengthened their mental game. They have learned to push themselves, stay disciplined, and put in the work no matter what. They also say we, as parents, have taught them resilience in golf and in life.
Isabel and Emma are the daughters of first-generation Korean and Mexican immigrant parents with no golf background. They chose golf in the summer of 2022, and just six months later began competing in local tournaments. What makes us proudest is how compassionate and supportive they are of each other and others. Golf has taught them honesty, integrity, and perseverance, and we are proud of the young women they are becoming.
