I love the speed and intensity the game of hockey provides athletes. The feeling of showing up to the rink whether its practice or a game truly brings a smile to my face. "Its my home". Special place where I can be myself and share the same passion with teammates to compete, work hard and learn from each other. Hockey has taught me important life skills of friendships, respect and work ethic to overcome adversity. Nothing beats that sound of the skates in a cold morning practice.
Marie Philip Poulin is a humble leader and has shown her ability to be top competitor with her success in Olympics, PWHL and Hockey Canada. She inspires me to play to top of my ability realizing hard work, determination and being great team player is what it takes on and off the ice. She is a true inspiration for all us young female athletes.
Watching Ivy love of the game and the excitement she has to go to the rink for practice or games. Love watching her work ethic and determination. This past year it was amazing to see her teammates and her achieve their goal to play last game of the season, going to the National Championship. Some proud moments seeing her achieve NCAA D1 Commitment to Boston University, being selected by Hockey Canada as top forward in National Tournament and chosen to speak at PWHL Hamilton announcement.
