Jace loves the challenge of wrestling and the feeling of pushing himself to become better. He enjoys competing, learning new techniques, and seeing his hard work pay off on the mat. He especially loves that wrestling pushes him both physically and mentally and gives him the opportunity to test himself against different opponents. He enjoys being part of the wrestling community, learning from his coaches and teammates, and constantly finding new ways to improve.
Jacob Wright inspires Jace because he is more than just a coach—he is a mentor and a role model. Jace looks up to Jacob for his knowledge, dedication, and the way he pushes him to become better both on and off the mat. Jacob has taught Jace the importance of discipline, hard work, and believing in himself. Jace also admires the way Jacob gives back to the wrestling community, and it inspires Jace to one day do the same by helping and encouraging younger wrestlers.
I’m most proud of how Jace pushes through adversity and wrestles with his heart. He has stepped up and wrestled his heart out for his brother, who is battling cancer. He not only encourages others, but has stepped up as a brother and son. Watching his determination, grit, and strength through difficult times makes me incredibly proud of the young man he is becoming, both on and off the mat.
