What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jackson's number one passion is baseball. Since the age of two he has been swinging a bat to live pitching and throwing a baseball around the house. He loves baseball because it allows him to move around and use the energy he has for life in a productive way. It allows him to watch, learn and practice a variety of skills including, glove handling, hitting, running and throwing. Baseball gives him a chance to be a part of a team yet also perform as an individual.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration is his father, Chad. Jackson loves spending time with him on and off the field. He is forever grateful to have a father that shares a love for all sports. He is always willing to practice with him, work on correcting mistakes and growing him to become a better all-around athlete and human being. Chad volunteers his time coaching several sports teams which inspires Jackson. Jackson has an incredible ability to also help other athletes younger and older alike.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This summer he was nine, playing his first year of Little League Majors, 12U. At the first practice he was hit by a very hard fastball. He dropped to the ground in pain. The pitcher was so upset he was at the fence crying. That night at dinner Jack was still very upset. When asked why he said, "I'm sad that my teammate is sad for hitting me. Can you text his parents to see if he's ok?" Next day at practice Jackson went straight to him to check on him and let him know he was ok.
