There was a game where my son played against his old team. His new team was winning 11–1, and instead of continuing to score, he didn’t want to hurt the other team’s feelings. Winning is important, but it’s not everything. That moment showed me how much compassion and maturity he has for his age. He understood that there are things more important than the score, and as a parent, that made me incredibly proud of him.
