Learn MoreJacob loves the team aspect of baseball and the camaraderie that he has gained and friends he’s made through the sport. I think the technical aspect of being a pitcher really drives him to do his best in every game and to be in sync with his catcher all the time. Jacob is a leader on the field and off and loves to encourage his teammates to do their best.
I would say his dad inspires him on and off the field for the last eight years Jacob’s been playing baseball. I’ve attended over 220 games always encouraging always giving advice and kind of knowing when to stop and just let him be him.
I would say most recently his team for summer ball made it to the championship game. He’s arguably their best pitcher and didn’t get the start. He was fine. He stepped in and relief after a really bad first inning and shut them out the rest of the game, even though they lost by two runs he was fine. They made it to the championship game. He was very encouraging all his teammates, and I was very proud of him.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
