What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He likes baseball because he likes the team comradery. Knowing he has someone there to back him up. He likes golf because Its all about him, win or lose. Even if his team doesn't win if he shoots low enough he still has the chance to go further. He likes learning new things. He hasn't played golf as long as baseball so he feels like he is always learning something new. With both sports he likes to teach the new players what he knows, he likes to help them be there best.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He draws much of his inspiration from his father, who has instilled in him the importance of a strong work ethic and the drive to continually improve. His father's guidance and encouragement have helped him overcome adversity and stay motivated through the ups and downs of the game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Jacob has always played baseball it's in his blood. When he decided to play golf that was a sport he had never really played before. He started playing in 8th grade on the varsity team and his score was 120. Jacob kept playing he kept a great attitude he kept learning, his freshman year he had brought his score down to the high 90s. His 10th grade year he surprised all of us when he got blue ridge 2nd team all district. He never gives up he just keeps striving to do better.
