What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat Jacob loves most about soccer is the chance to compete, give everything he has, and be part of a team. At just 7, he takes pride in protecting his space, standing strong for his teammates, and never backing down from a challenge. He loves the battle for the ball, making the smart play, and helping his team succeed. Whether he’s defending, pushing forward, or cheering on a teammate, Jacob plays with heart, strength, and a true love for the game.
Jacob’s biggest inspiration comes from home—his mom and his siblings. His mom inspires him through her strength, support, and belief in him, while his siblings push him to compete, grow, and always give his best. They are his biggest supporters and the reason he plays with so much heart. Every time Jacob steps onto the field, he carries his family’s love with him and works to make them proud.
What makes me proudest of Jacob is watching his soccer IQ come to life on the field. At only 7, he knows when to attack, when to fall back, and when his team needs him most on defense. But above all, I’m proud of his heart. He protects his teammates, stands beside them, and plays for more than himself. His talent is incredible, but the teammate and person he is becoming makes me proudest.
