What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreJaCyntha loves the intensity of competition and the strategy behind sparring. She enjoys reading her opponent, finding the right moment to attack, and testing the techniques she has practiced. Every match gives her a chance to become quicker, smarter, and more fearless.
Her greatest inspiration is her older sister, whose black-belt journey showed her what dedication and consistency can achieve. JaCyntha now has a dream of her own: to one day represent the national team in taekwondo and compete at the Olympic Games. That goal gives every practice, sacrifice, and competition a greater purpose.
I am proudest of watching JaCyntha grow from a young girl following her older sister into an athlete with her own identity and Olympic dream. She is no longer training simply because her sister did—she now has her own goals, determination, and belief in how far taekwondo can take her.
