What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

As a pitcher you control the game . Everyone has a bad game , you might miss a ball here or there but the pitcher controls the game from start to finish . Pitchers must perfect many pitches to be effective and some days it feels like you can’t find a pitch to stick and you’re the most talked about .Other days you’re unstoppable and the talk of the town . Softball and being a pitcher is all about mental toughness and a drive to never give up .

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Najaree Canady. Softball has never been a sport for black girls so to see a black girl that resembles me and is dominating is truly inspiring . We too can start young , take lessons , get good and be paid athletes . Najaree is talked about heavily on many platforms , usual hatred. I love the feeling of a team that chants when I’m on the mound trying to throw me off and I keep pitching strikes . It gets really quiet after awhile 😆

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

A recent tie breaker game . This means a player is put on 2nd base and may the best team win . Jada was pitching . The opposing player made it to third base, then a batter bunted . Instead of going for 1st Jada perfected the throw to home getting the girl out . Then came bases loaded , 1 run would win and Jada struck the last girl out pitching . I mean simply hitting the batter and they would have won . Jadas team was then able to bat and d ore 1 run for the win . It was the most nail biting gam
