What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love most that flag football pushes me to become a better athlete while giving me a place to compete, grow, and be part of a team. I love making big plays, supporting my teammates, and seeing my hard work pay off. Even with asthma, I refuse to let challenges stop me from doing what I love. Flag football has taught me confidence, discipline, teamwork, and resilience, and it motivates me to keep pushing myself every day.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The people who inspire me most are my mom, my coaches, and my teammates. My mom inspires me because she’s always encouraged me to work hard, stay strong, and never give up, even when things get difficult. My coaches push me to become a better player and a better person, and my teammates motivate me by showing up every day ready to compete and improve. Together, they remind me that success comes from dedication, resilience, and believing in yourself, and that’s the mindset I try to bring everyday

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment I’m proudest of is becoming part of the first girls flag football team at Cass Tech. It meant so much because I worked hard for this opportunity and proved to myself that my dedication was paying off. Representing my school and being part of something historic made me incredibly proud. Even with asthma, I continued pushing myself and refused to let challenges hold me back. Seeing how far I’ve come and knowing I earned my place on the field is something I’ll always be proud of.
