What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

For James, baseball has always been about so much more than wins and losses. It's the feeling of stepping onto the field with his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, chasing down a fly ball, and believing that every game or at bat is a new opportunity. He loves the challenge of the sport—the endless opportunities to learn, improve, and push himself to be better. Baseball has taught him resilience, patience, and confidence.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His coaches, who have helped him develop not only his baseball skills but also his confidence and love for the game. His teammates, who have become close friends through practices, tournaments, and unforgettable experiences like Cooperstown Dreams Park. The game itself, because he embraces the challenge of improving, competing, and learning something new every time he steps on the field. His family, who have consistently supported him, celebrated his successes, and helped through failures.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I've watched him celebrate his teammates' successes as much as his own, work hard through challenges, and grow into a player who leads with character, respect, and heart. Seeing him build lifelong friendships, create unforgettable memories at tournaments like Cooperstown, and develop resilience both on and off the field has made me incredibly proud. This season reminded me that baseball is about so much more than statistics or wins. But watching him live out his dreams!
