Join the CompetitionWhat I love most about playing basketball is that it’s fun and I’m really good at it. I also like working toward a goal and seeing myself get better. It feels good to work hard and accomplish something I’ve been working toward.
My mom inspires me the most because she is kind to everyone. She used to be really good at basketball, so she understands how much work it takes to play the game. She always works hard to give me opportunities in school and to play basketball and get better. She supports me and encourages me to keep working hard and never give up.
Aside from his work ethic and accomplishments on the court, what makes me most proud is watching him learn how to control his emotions and handle adversity. Sports have become such an integral part of his growth, teaching him lessons that go far beyond the game. Seeing him develop greater maturity, composure, and poise through both the highs and lows amazes me every day. As his mom, watching the young man he is becoming is something I couldn’t be more proud of.
