Jasmine

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jasmine loves being part of something bigger than herself and having teammates who push her to grow. Wrestling has built her confidence, leadership, teamwork, communication, and resilience. She leads by example, supports her teammates, and learns from every challenge. Wrestling has taught her that success is more than winning, it’s about perseverance, growth, and lifting others up. She hopes to use these skills to positively impact her team, school, and community.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her mom inspires Jasmine both on and off the mat because she always believes in her, even when Jasmine doubts herself. She is always there to support, encourage, and push her to be the best version of herself. Her belief in Jasmine gives her the confidence to take on challenges, keep working when things get difficult, and never give up on her goals. Jasmine is grateful for all the sacrifices, encouragement, and love her mom gives her, and she hopes to make her proud

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments Jasmine is proudest of was overcoming a concussion at Nationals in March. She took two months off to recover, which was difficult because she wanted to be on the mat. She returned stronger, more determined, and more motivated than ever. This experience taught her that setbacks do not define her and that true strength comes from getting back up and continuing to chase her goals.
