What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat my son loves most about football is the opportunity to compete, challenge himself, and be part of a team. He loves the excitement of game day, the brotherhood he shares with his teammates, and the feeling of knowing that his hard work and dedication can make a difference. Most of all, he loves being able to contribute wherever his team needs him and giving his all every time he steps onto the field.
My son is inspired by the people who encourage him to work hard, stay humble, and never give up. His coaches and teammates inspire him on the field by pushing him to become a better athlete and teammate, while his family inspires him off the field by supporting him through every challenge. They remind him that success is not just about winning, but about giving his best, staying committed, and being someone others can count on.
The moment that makes me proudest is watching my son step onto the field and willingly take on whatever role his team needs from him. Whether he is playing quarterback, tight end, running back, linebacker, safety, or kicker, he gives every position his full effort. Seeing his determination, versatility, and willingness to put his team before himself reminds me that being a great athlete is not just about talent—it’s about heart, character, hard work, and leadership.
