What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love most about playing football is being part of a team and competing with my teammates. I love the challenge of pushing myself to get better, whether I’m playing Linebacker or Running Back. There’s nothing like working hard together, trusting each other, and seeing that hard work pay off on the field. I also love the physical and mental challenge of the game and the feeling of knowing I gave everything I had for my team.
The person who inspires me most is my teammate and close friend, Trey. He is someone who consistently puts in the hard work and pushes me to become better, stronger, and faster. We challenge each other and hold each other accountable, both in workouts and on the field. Having a teammate like Trey motivates me to keep working when things get difficult and reminds me that getting better is a process. I’m grateful to have a friend and teammate who pushes me to be the best athlete and teammate I can
One of my proudest moments was an 8th grade football game. We lost by one point, but I had one of my best performances with 14 tackles. Even without the win, I was proud of my effort and giving everything for my team. It taught me success isn’t just the score, but effort, response to setbacks, and leaving it all on the field. It motivates me to keep working hard and never give up.
