What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves shooting, he loves scoring, he loves playing with his team teams, he likes to the physicality of the game and how much he needs to use his athleticism. He loves scoring and plays basketball all day, inside the house in the mini hoop and in the backyard on the big hoop and of course, during team practices, scrimmages and games. He’s always excited to have a game even when he’s playing up with one two year older boys. The coaches love him, and always ask him to come play with them.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

VJ Edgecombe and Kevin Durant. He met VJ during the game in NY Madison Square Garden against Knicks where the team got to play to half time break. VJ was very friendly, down to earth, spoke to all the kids, sat down and spend time with them, and then had a really great game, made great plays, and is a great shooter and team player. He feels like he plays kind of like Kevin Durant.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

He’s very proud of winning A Game Championship in Spooky Nook. Him and his team gave 100%, played against really strong players, did not give up physically, emotionally or mentally. He is never a selfish player, if he’s not scoring, he’s always assisting and passing the ball, he’s not a sore loser or a sore winner, the coaches love working with him, he’s polite, respectful, com and professional.
