What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about sports is the camaraderie and the relationships I build with my teammates, coaches, and other athletes. I enjoy encouraging and mentoring my peers, whether they are at my level or just starting out. I also love being able to communicate with my coaches, understand plays, and learn more about the game. Sports also teach me to reflect on myself. I always think about what I can improve and how I can help my team succeed. Overall, sports have helped me become a better person

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His faith inspires him both on and off the field by reminding him to stay strong, have confidence, and keep pushing through challenges. When he became discouraged or start doubting himself, the upperclassmen are there to encourage him and remind him of what he is capable of. Their support helps him get back on track and not let a difficult moment define him. His faith, teammates, and upperclassmen all motivate him to keep growing, stay positive, and become the best version of himself possible.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in his athletic journey that makes us proudest is seeing him take the field as a football player and as a band member. He was able to play in the game and at halftime play two instruments, one being for the quartet he was in and then march. Just seeing the culmination of the things he loved showing his passion on the field was beautiful.
