What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jax loves competing, but what he enjoys most is being part of a team. He loves working alongside his teammates, pushing himself to get better, and seeing everyone’s hard work come together. Whether he’s on the football field or basketball court, he wants to compete, have fun, and help his team succeed. He understands that winning is great, but being a great teammate, learning from mistakes, and giving everything he has matters even more

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jax would say his dad inspires him most. He was his first hero, long before he ever had a favorite athlete. His father has taught him that being a great athlete is about more than talent—it’s about hard work, character, leadership, and how you treat others. Knowing that he still looks up to me as he grows means more than any trophy ever could. My hope is that I continue to be someone he is proud to look up to, just as proud as I am to be his dad

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moments aren’t necessarily the touchdowns, baskets, or wins. They’re the moments when I see Jax encourage a teammate, get back up after making a mistake, or keep fighting when things aren’t going his way. Watching him grow from a kid who simply loved playing sports into a young athlete who understands leadership, responsibility, and teamwork has made me incredibly proud. The player he’s becoming is exciting, but I’m even prouder of the young man he’s becoming
