What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreJaxon loves playing basketball because it challenges him to become better every day. He enjoys working hard in practice, competing with his teammates, and pushing himself to improve his skills. Basketball has taught him the value of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Whether his team wins or loses, Jaxon appreciates every opportunity to learn, grow, and play the game he loves.
Jaxon looks up to players like LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Davion Mitchell because they represent far more than talent on the court. He admires LeBron's leadership, work ethic, and commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the court. Kevin Love inspires him through his resilience, willingness to speak openly about mental health, and dedication to being a supportive teammate.
One of the things I admire most about Jaxon is how determined he is to get better every single day. He has a competitive spirit and truly wants to win, but what stands out even more is the work he's willing to put in to earn it. He doesn't shy away from challenges or get discouraged by tough game. Instead, he uses them as motivation to improve. He's always asking questions, practicing on his own, and looking for ways to grow as a player, his drive comes from a genuine love for the game.
