What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jaxson loves the feeling he gets when he can see the hard work he is putting in at home and at practice pay off in games where he can help his team. He loves playing with his friends (against his friends too!) Summer hockey is great because he has joined many teams where he doesn't know anyone. He always leaves with new friends to hopefully play against -or with- in the future. He loves the challenge during the season to rise to the competition and improve, while having fun.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His older cousins Max & Logan Warfield. Max moved in with us 2 years ago to pursue hockey. His hard work earned him a spot on the NH Avalanche EHL Team. Last year, Jax earned a spot playing for the NH Avalanche 2013 team. With Max being from Colorado, we never imagined they would someday be able to play for the same organization! Now they both get to represent the Aves. Also, showing him what it is to be kind, that family is the most important, and how to experience life with positive attitude.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Jax has had to work very hard to develop into the player he is today. It has been amaing to watch him become someone his team can count on to always show up with 110% effort. Last year, we were playing in a tournament in Canada, down by 1, Jax scored! Tying up the game with 3 minutes left. Then, with 6 seconds left in the game, he scored again helping bring his team to victory. I loved watching him celebrate with his team.
