What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

being part of a team. He loves competing & pushing himself to be better, but what really stands out is how much he enjoys sharing those moments with his teammates. He loves cheering them on, celebrating their successes like they are his own, and being there to lift someone up when they are having a tough game. For Jax, sports aren’t only about winning or being the best player on the field. He loves the friendships, teamwork, excitement, a sense of belonging with others working towards the goal.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jax’s said family has been one of his biggest inspirations. He has grown up surrounded by family that believes in showing up, working hard, supporting one another, & never giving up. On the field, in the classroom, or competing in 4-H, he knows his family is behind him every step of the way. More than anything, his family has taught him that success isn’t just measured by trophies or wins. It’s measured by how hard you work, how you treat people, who you are when no one is watching.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?
