Jayci’s speed is elite, but her dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership make her Athlete of the Year.
Thank you for supporting Jayci in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreJayci loves the feeling of running as fast as she can and challenging herself to get better every race. She enjoys competing, cheering on her teammates, and celebrating everyone’s success. Track has taught her confidence, discipline, and that hard work pays off. She loves crossing the finish line knowing she gave her best, whether she wins or loses.
Jayci is especially inspired by her dad. Watching him work hard, chase his dreams, and never give up has taught her the importance of dedication, perseverance, and believing in herself. He reminds her that success comes from hard work and a positive attitude. She is also inspired by her mom, coaches, and family, who encourage her every step of the way and remind her to stay humble while always giving her best.
The moment that makes me proudest wasn’t winning medals it was watching Jayci qualify for the Junior Olympics while staying humble and encouraging her teammates every step of the way. At only seven years old, she has learned that true success is about hard work, sportsmanship, and never giving up. Seeing her confidence grow on and off the track has been my greatest reward.
