What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Jayden loves most about baseball is the opportunity to challenge himself and lift his team up, no matter the score. He loves using his speed and strength to make a difference on the field, which was recently highlighted by the immense pride of hitting his very first homerun after countless hours of hard work at practice. More than anything, he thrives on the pressure; when the team is down and it is his turn to bat, he locks in with total focus to bring out his absolute best.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jayden’s heart for baseball comes directly from his grandfather, who spent many years behind the plate playing baseball in Mexico. His grandfather gave him a masterclass in leadership, grit, and passion—lessons that Jayden now applies every day competing for his U13 baseball academy. The elite environment of the academy, combined with his grandfather’s teachings, has shaped Jayden into a highly disciplined elite youth athlete.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The proudest moment was when Jayden hit his first homerun during a high-stakes game where the team was down. When it was his turn to bat, I saw his signature look of pure focus take over. Instead of letting the pressure get to him, he stayed completely calm, stepped up to the plate, and launched the ball over the fence. Everyone was incredibly proud of him, not just for the points, but because his teammates look up to him as a leader who delivers when it matters most.
