What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I really enjoy the competition of sports, but also the family I have in my teammates. I love competing but nothing beats when everyone is having fun and enjoying the game together. My favorite times are when the score is neck and neck and both teams are battling it out. Seeing my teammates succeed is just as much of an enjoyment to me than just myself doing well.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Sam Landry because she truly enjoys playing the game, and is a great teammate. I want to be an inspiration to my team in any way I can like she does. Another person is my coach, Coach Heather Archilbald. She has coached me since I was in Kindergarten. She never makes me feel like I'm not enough, but pushes me to be the best I can be at whatever sport I'm in. She coaches me in volleyball and track, but she does so much more than just that. I'm truly thankful to have her in my corner!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There are several proud moments I could mention, pushing through to finish a race, scoring a point in volleyball, hitting a double with bases loaded two outs. But the proudest moment I have so far is putting herself out there and out of her comfort zone because she has gained confidence from playing sports. Going to try outs with a completely unknown team to making it to Nationals for softball and not backing down from girls older than her. It's not one moment, but what she has gained from many.
