Learn MoreJaylen loves the excitement of having the ball in his hands, making big plays and celebrating with his teammates. Football gives him a place to be himself fast, competitive and full of energy. Whether he gets one opportunity or ten, he enjoys making every play count and helping his team win.
Jaylen is inspired by his family, coaches and teammates. His family teaches him to believe in himself, while his coaches push him to work hard and become better every day. His teammates inspire him to compete, have fun and always play for something bigger than himself.
My proudest moment was watching Jaylen transition from flag football to tackle football without losing his confidence. Even with limited opportunities, he scored on his only play during one scrimmage and again on his second carry in another game. He showed that he doesn’t need many chances to make an impact he just needs one.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
