What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jaylen loves competing, being part of a team, and pushing himself to get better. Whether it’s football, basketball, or baseball, he loves the excitement of the game and being surrounded by his teammates. He enjoys a challenge and isn’t afraid to work for what he wants. Most of all, he loves making memories, having fun, and seeing his hard work pay off.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His dad is his biggest inspiration. He made it to the NFL and was on a practice squad before an injury ended his opportunity to continue. Jaylen has always looked up to him, not only because of how far football took him, but because he knows the hard work, discipline, and dedication it took to get there. His dad’s journey has shown him that chasing a dream takes sacrifice, perseverance, and the courage to keep going even when life doesn’t go as planned.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

It’s hard for me to choose just one moment because I’m proud of him every time he steps on the field or court. What makes me proudest is watching him grow—not just as an athlete, but as a person. I’ve watched him have amazing games and tough ones, win and lose, and still show up ready to work. Seeing his confidence grow, watching him support his teammates, and knowing how hard he works makes this momma incredibly proud.
