What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

You know the saying, "all kids do is eat, sleep, and poop," that's Jaylin with basketball. Since the age of 7 Jaylin has dedicated himself to the sport. Being able to continuously grow and get better at the craft is something he drives strives do to. Being able to travel, meet others just as deviated to the craft, and getting insight from some of the top coaches are a few things that makes Jaylin love the sport even more.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Jaylin accredited his mother most for the work ethic she instilled in him. She had always work 2 to 3 jobs to care for himself and his brothers and no matter what do made time to be at Jaylin games and be the loudest one in the crowd. There are many single mothers and jaylin feel it's his obligation represent for all of them. He loves Steph Curry and Anthony Edward. He is currently working with the same AAU coach and team AE played for and he knows that's nothing short of a blessing.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Just to see his growth. Jaylin has always been tall but was what most considered clumsy, always tripping over his own feet. He wanted to be able to dunk so bad in the 7th grade, worked hard at it, but it wasn't until his 8th grade biggest rivalry game that he got his momentum and make the connect and has been dunking every since. The next biggest moment was just last year being his team leading scorer with 24pts, at his high playoffs game and getting player of the game was amazing.
