What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the thrill of victory and the hard-earned pride that comes with outworking the competition. For him, every win is validation for the countless hours spent practicing when no one is watching. Knowing he left everything on the field, mat, or track and came out on top builds a deep sense of confidence, accomplishment, and personal pride that drives him to keep pushing for excellence.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He looks up to his older brother, who set the standard for what it means to be a dedicated multi-sport athlete. Seeing his brother’s success—especially in wrestling, where he earned college offers—proved what was possible through relentless hard work. His brother showed him how to push through tough practices, balance academics with athletics, and lead by example. More than just a role model in sports, his brother inspires him to stay disciplined, dream big, and earn his own success.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment was watching him earn his first varsity (jr high) 1st-place finish. It wasn’t just the victory, but the shift in his mindset. His reaction wasn't hubris; it was pure, quiet satisfaction. Seeing him realize that eight years of early mornings, relentless practice, and grit were finally paying off changed everything. That moment proved to him that hard work yields real results, setting a standard of dedication, focus, and maturity that defined his entire season.
