What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat Jeeda loves most about rhythmic gymnastics is the feeling of combining music, movement, and creativity into one performance. Jeeda loves challenging herself to learn new skills, becoming stronger and more confident, and seeing her hard work come together on the competition floor. Most of all, she loves the feeling of representing her country and competing at a high level.
Her biggest inspiration is her family, especially her parents, who constantly support and encourage her to keep going, even when things get challenging. She is also inspired by the athletes she looks up to, especially those who demonstrate dedication, discipline, and determination. Their achievements motivate her to work harder, improve her skills, and always strive to reach her full potential.
The moment that makes me proudest is seeing Jeeda represent Syria on the international stage. Watching her step onto the competition floor with confidence, discipline, and determination after all the hours of training reminds me how much she has grown—not only as a gymnast, but also as a strong and dedicated young athlete. Seeing her earn her FIG license and compete internationally has been incredibly special and one of my proudest moments as her mother.
