What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreJenna loves Acrobatics & Tumbling for the trust it demands — the split-second precision, the way her body and her teammates’ bodies move as one. There’s nothing like the rush of nailing a routine after months of repetition, or the bond built spotting each other through every fall and catch. It’s a sport where individual discipline fuels a team’s success, and that blend of personal grit and shared triumph is what keeps her coming back.
Jenna carries her grandfather’s memory into every routine. He passed away in 2020 during the pandemic, but his belief in her never left. She remembers his quiet pride watching her compete, his encouragement to keep pushing even when it was hard. Now, every time she steps onto the mat, she channels that same resilience — showing up fully, fighting through fatigue, and refusing to quit. He taught her that character shows most when no one’s watching.
The moment I’m proudest isn’t a trophy or a routine — it’s watching Jenna cheer on her teammates. Seeing her hype up a nervous freshman before a routine, or deliver a pep talk after a rough practice, tells me everything about who she is. She lifts others up before she thinks about herself. That’s not something you can coach — it’s character. Watching her lead with heart, not just skill, is the proudest moment of this whole journey for me as her parent.
