Learn MoreWhat I love most about running track is the challenge of pushing myself to become better every time I step on the track. Track has taught me discipline, patience, and that success comes from putting in the work even when nobody is watching. As I prepare to graduate, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I know this is only the beginning. I’m taking everything track has taught me dedication, confidence, and perseverance with me into the next chapter of my life.
My biggest inspiration has been my village, especially my mom, who has always encouraged me to keep pushing, believe in myself, and never give up. Seeing how hard she works and how much she believes in me motivates me to give my best, both on and off the track. My coaches, teammates, and the people who have supported me along the way have also inspired me to keep growing.
As his mother, I am incredibly proud of the young man he has become. Watching him grow through track has shown me that being an athlete is about so much more than winning races or earning medals. It is about discipline, dedication, resilience, and having the courage to keep going when things get difficult. I admire his commitment without me demanding but allowing me to be a cheerleader!!!
