I asked him. He always says I’m his motivation so I never have to work again and he can by me whatever I desire. However I know he wants to show his father he could do it without his support. His father, a very successful man divorced and has not maintained physical support of he and his brother, gives me a lot of financial support. He is very busy with work and his other kids which has brought Joel a great deal of pain, however I hope to see them rekindle a relationship. He is an awesome kid.
He started at age 6 completely running off the field, crying and out of control. Football helped me gained discipline with my sons. I’m again divorced with 3 sons. I started them in football for all the benefits building confidence and being a team player, and to make them tough. Joel made it his life and took his pain out on the field. That makes me proud. My oldest is in college. I’m very proud of my sons and my youngest loves basketball. Joel has all the characteristics of a leader.
