Joseph has wrestled since age 5, earning 2nd in SLWL Bantams, and now brings that same grit to football as a rookie starting QB and D-end.

Join the CompetitionJoseph loves the challenge of competing and pushing himself to get better. Wrestling has taught him discipline, toughness, and confidence because once he steps on the mat, it’s all on him. Football gives him something different: being part of a team, leading as a quarterback, and doing his job for the players beside him. Whether on the mat or the field, he loves competing, learning, and giving everything he has.
Joey’s biggest inspirations are his Dad and his Poppy. His Dad grew up playing football and wrestled heavyweight throughout high school, and today he is the proud dad at every match and game. His Poppy has loved sports his entire life, especially football and wrestling, and is always there with a pep talk before a game or encouraging words afterward. Joey knows that win or lose, Dad and Poppy are always in his corner, proud of the athlete and young man he is becoming.
One of my proudest moments was watching Joseph earn 2nd place in his South Jersey wrestling tournament. He has wrestled since he was five, so that medal represented years of practices, tough matches, wins, losses, and getting back on the mat. I was proud of the finish, but even prouder of the determination it took to get there. Watching that same confidence carry over as a rookie starting QB and defensive end has been incredible.
