Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

John Apollo has many collegiate and professional athletes who inspire him. This year he chose the number 12 for his jersey in honor of Travis Hunter. He has watched many games and highlight videos where he studies his offense and defense capabilities. He is enamored by Travis’s ability to play both sides of the ball.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

First year playing tackle football, and he is not allowing his small stature to determine how tough he can be. Over and over he has proven to his coaches and his teammates that he belongs and is a valuable asset to the team. His hard work and determination makes me proud.
