What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreThe thing I love most about playing sports is the feeling of accomplishment after a tough game or practice.
My biggest inspiration is definitely my mother. She's not an athlete, but she's the most determined person I know. She taught me that no matter how hard things get, you can always push through with a positive attitude. Seeing her overcome challenges in her own life really motivates me to do my best on the court.
There's this one moment from last game in the 8th grade that I'm super proud of. It was the championship game, and we were down by one point with only seconds left. The coach called a timeout and drew up a play for me. I remember feeling so much pressure, but I also knew I could do it. I got the ball, drove to the basket, and made the winning shot right as the buzzer sounded. The crowd went wild, and my teammates mobbed me. It was an incredible feeling, and I'll never forget it!
