Learn MoreJontae loves the challenge that comes with playing cornerback. He enjoys competing on every snap, pushing himself to improve, and doing whatever he can to help his team succeed. Football has taught him discipline, accountability, and perseverance, and he takes pride in earning everything through hard work.
Being raised by a single mother is what inspires Jontae both on and off the field. Watching his mom work hard, make sacrifices, and never give up has taught him the value of perseverance, discipline, and resilience. Her unwavering support motivates him to give his best in everything he does. He carries those lessons with him every time he steps onto the field and strives to make her proud. On the field, he's inspired by coaches and teammates who push him to be his best.
The moment that makes me proudest is seeing Jontae's hard work and perseverance lead him to the opportunity to play college football. I know the sacrifices it took to get here. Watching him overcome challenges with determination, and faith has been the greatest reward. I'm proud not only of the athlete he's become, but of the young man he is.
