What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about trapshooting is the relationships I’ve built through the sport. Trap has given me friendships that span generations from younger shooters just getting started, to friends in their 20s, to dear friends in their 60s and 70s who are National and World Champions. On the trap field, age doesn’t matter; we share the same love for the sport, learn from one another and cheer each other on. I also love the dedication trap requires and how it constantly challenges me to grow.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I’ve had incredible coaches who taught me the fundamentals and mechanics of shooting. After a difficult year personally, I found myself carrying some of that onto the trap field. At Nationals, I met mental coach Stephanie Neuman, who taught me how my brain responds under pressure and gave me tools to work through it. After our first lesson, I ran my first 100 straight. Stephanie inspires me because she showed me strength isn’t just physical, it’s learning to trust yourself and your mind.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

We each have a moment. Mine was when a teammate left the line in tears. Jordan immediately put an arm around her, talked her through it and reminded her one score didn’t define her. Her stepdad’s was watching Jordan face a shoot-off she was terrified of. Shaking and crying, she stepped onto the line, locked in and competed. She didn’t win, but she overcame herself. Our proudest memories aren’t of Jordan holding trophies; they’re seeing her character when nobody is handing her one.
