Shohei Ohtani is Jorge’s role model on the field, inspiring him to dream big and become a better athlete. Off the field, his dad is his role model, teaching him to work hard, stay humble, and always do his best. Jorge is also proud of his Cuban roots. Growing up Canadian with Cuban heritage has taught him to embrace both cultures and be proud of where his family comes from.
Every moment of his athletic journey makes me proud. He practiced judo and earned first place, and he has always been so humble and dedicated. He is naturally good at many different sports, but baseball has become his main focus. Watching him hit home runs, triples, and doubles and seeing how much he enjoys the game makes me incredibly proud. 👏
