What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Jojo loves most about baseball is the competition. At 13 years old, he thrives on the challenge of stepping onto the field, facing talented players, and pushing himself to be better with every game. He loves the excitement of competing, but even more than winning, Jojo values seeing his own improvement. Whether it’s throwing harder, becoming a better hitter, making a great play in the field, or learning how to handle pressure, he takes pride in knowing that all of his hard work pays off!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

One player he especially admires is Mike Trout. Jojo enjoys watching Trout’s approach at the plate and the way he competes every time he steps into the batter’s box. For Jojo, it is not just about watching someone hit a home run or get a big hit. He pays attention to the details the preparation, focus, confidence, timing, and discipline that go into each at-bat. Watching great hitters helps Jojo learn and gives him ideas that he can bring into his own game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Jojo has had three proudest moments that he will carry with him forever! -12 strikeouts in a game! -Hitting 4 home runs in one day! - Making the leaderboard in the Home Run Derby in Cooperstown! Jojo’s accomplishments have taught him that the hard work he puts in when no one is watching eventually shows up when it matters most. His success on the field has given him confidence that dedication, persistence, and a willingness to keep improving can turn his goals into reality.
