His dad. He played football in high school and went D1 for Colorado State. In his years playing at CSU, they won their first bowl game in 30 years. That has always motivated Joshua to want to play at a high level and make an impact! Unfortunately his dad ended up in jail and hasn’t been around in years. Joshua’s motivated to make a better life through football and academics, and currently is in all honor classes his freshman year of high school.
Arriving at Buford and landing a starting position on both sides of the ball and getting all honor classes for his freshman year. Joshua hasn’t always had the support needed for football since his dad hasn’t been able to help him, yet he’s overcome every obstacle and is competing at a high level against kids who have been playing their whole lives, even kids who’s parents are NFL players. On top of that, everyone also tells me how good of a kid he is and how big his heart is! Makes me proud!
