What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Josiah loves the on and off the field part of his sports. Josiah loves to be able to have his teammates back. He celebrates the wins and he encourages when there are losses or mistakes. Josiah enjoys the passion he has for the sports he plays, it isn’t a chore for him to play. He works hard, plays hard, and shows up every day because he wants to!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Josiah’s mom inspires him on and off the field. He sees that his mom works hard and she never gives up. She is always there to cheer him on and support him even on the worst days. My mom helps me and shows up for me. She is my number one support even if we are down, she is cheering me on until the time runs out. She makes me excited for the game. I see her working multiple jobs, completing school, and still she has time to be there for me. No one is better than my mom and the effort she puts in

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in their athletic journey that makes me the proudest is when Josiah carried an entire team on his back. There was no one aware of how to block appropriately and he still would go out there and make the touchdowns for his team. He won Offensive and Defensive Player of the year for Division I Youth Football. He never ran away from the challenge or quit. He came to give 100% and show what he could do. That made me super proud of him.
