What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Jr absolutely loves football. He has learned quickly that football is a team sport he is out there to win for his team. He has adapted to many positions and never takes no for an answer. He wasn’t the favorite many times since he has started football. He never let that stop him from fighting and working hard. He made 1st string offense and defense this year for 7U. He has love for the game even when he’s home he’s drawing or running plays!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His inspiration first is his father who has helped him develop into a skilled player but not one that doesn’t understand hard work, effort, and dedication comes first. His father will always inspire him to be better every time he steps on that field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This year his 2026 season he is competing for one of the 5 captains on his football team out of 25 kids. Last week was the last week of summer and instead of swimming and having fun with friends he told me he wanted to rest during the day and get ready to show out at football practice for his captain spot. That made me unbelievably proud that a 7 year old chose dedication over fun. Even if he doesn’t get captain that was a proud mom moment for me.
